Operating as a holiday house seaside getaway in summer and winter, this stunning holiday rental is exactly what a beach house should be. One of the most impressive beach houses on the Surf Coast.
As soon as you enter the house, you are welcomed by the light streaming down from the void above. As you make your way up the stairs to the main level, you are taken in by the expansive open plan kitchen, living and dining area with all the essentials you require to escape the outside world and relax.
This is a house for all seasons. In summer, enjoy a short walk to the Lorne foreshore, just 400m away, or take the scenic route and head inland for the 8km Mountain to Surf loop - a must for young and old. Keep a look out for the platypus in the George River.
Later in the day, enjoy nibbles and drinks on the north facing front deck – complete with a large undercover patio area with a heater and outdoor table setting for 12. Or retreat with your glass to the back of the property and nestle into the Adirondack chairs by the rustic fire pit. Soak it all up, while the kids play cricket on the back lawn.
In winter, enjoy the view from the master bed, cosy up next to the open fire or jump in the car for a short drive along the Great Ocean Road to the Wye River General Store. Whether it's summer or winter, the split system units in the main living room and master bedroom and the electric Nobo heaters in each bedroom provide a comfortable environment all year round.
The open plan kitchen is equipped with all the necessities, including an expansive stone island bench, a Miele oven, dishwasher, microwave and a selection of basic pantry needs, a Nespresso coffee machine, complete with complimentary coffee pods. The laundry has a front load washing machine and dryer.
